Rockin' Tuesdays started August 5 2008!!

Rockin' Tuesday nights at St Michael's Church Hall in George St North Beach, right behind the church on the corner of James St.

Be there 7pm every Tuesday from August 5th.

Parking behind hall [enter from James St] or in front of the hall in George St.

We'll fire up the urn for a cuppa, but BYO everything else for a great night to reinforce your Thursday lesson or use Tuesday night to get a jump start on Thursday's lesson - both nights in any one week will be essentially the same and over each month, we'll build a short routine of moves for you in each style.

A TYPICAL DANCE NIGHT

A typical dance night will start at 7:15 pm sharp with a quick warmup of one solo linedance learned in the previous month, followed by 10 minutes of learning and practising the current month's line dance.

We try to choose line dances which incorporate dance steps you will encounter while learning with us.

Next up is 45 minutes of rock'n'roll lesson (double time boogie woogie, very similar to tap step rock'n'roll). Each month will start on week one with extra emphasis on the basic dance pattern, building up over the month to an easy sequence, each month being slightly different.

After a short break, during which you can practise your steps or just sit and chat, we get your motor running again with a quick dance through the previous month's partner sequence dance, followed by about 10 minutes of learning the current month's sequence.

Then there is 45 minutes of level 2 Boogie Woogie/rock'n'roll.

At about 9:30, you're welcome to sit and chat or get on the floor to practise or just dance

IT'S MOSTLY ROCK'N'ROLL/SWING, BUT THERE'S A LITTLE OF EVERYTHING INCLUDED

Thursday's lesson is the same moves as Tuesday's
